Becoming Fearless

Lately, I’ve been learning to stop letting angst control every decision I make, and to be in peace with what comes next, even when I don’t know what it could be. I’ve been allowing myself to stop paying mind to what other people think in order to fully do what I want . So, here’s a personal reminder to no longer fear the future or the unknown. God has conquered all my worries and fear has no name.
Hey you guys, today’s post is going to be more on the personal side, but in a format that will apply to your life as well. You see, we are all very alike, we think too much and worry mostly in the same areas. We allow this to set a pause on going forward full speed. To be honest, this was consuming my every day life and I didn’t even realize it. It wasn’t until I sat myself down, drained from my own thoughts and worries, and prayed. I prayed to God, asking him to take all of my anxiety, stress, worries and fears. I told him I couldn’t handle it anymore and that I was in desperate need of his comfort. I remember so clearly having a complete shift of gears in my thoughts as I prayed, this voice/thought was so direct and firm that it didn’t even feel like mine.  “None of your worries or fears have even taken place, its the thought that they might, that has been taking over you. You are exhausting yourself over the world that I have already conquered. You have fear because you don’t have faith”
I know some of you might not agree or believe and that is Okay. I understand not all of my readers may be religious, and I fully respect that. Therefore, I will write this pots in the most objective matter as possible. However, I will be expressing my faith widely. For those of you who have experienced something similar, id love to hear your story too.

If your fear is…

What others think

This one was huge for me. Ever since I can remember I have taken other people’s  thoughts into consideration. Do they think I’m smart? Do they think I’m pretty enough? Do they even like how I sing? am I funny? So much of those thoughts happened every single day. I let other peoples opinions have power over me. I allowed it to influence my decisions and what I wanted. I was paralyzed by the fear of others disapproval.
But I was wrong
Letting go of other peoples input is the most freeing experience you will ever encounter. You are the one and only who should ever call the shots. Simply because, well this is YOUR life, no one else’s. You are the one getting up in the morning to experience the day, you should experience it in your best most fulfilling way. Start that business you’ve been dreaming about, that fashion blog or Youtube Channel. Start sharing your passions and talents instead of depriving them from the world. Do what you want to do because you know it brings you joy. You deserve that abundance of joy, trust me.
Recently, I stopped caring whether people thought starting a blog was dumb or not, and it has been such a fun and rewarding experience. I stopped caring whether my fashion posts on Instagram would make me look coincided, cus in my heart I knew that wasn’t the reason I started this. I stopped caring whether people thought I sang good or not, I sang anyways. I did what I loved simply because I loved it.

The Future

The future does not yet hold a definite existence,  therefore there is no reason to fear it. This is deeply associated with anxiety. You feel anxious because you don’t know whether whats about to come is good or not. You begin to lose yourself in your own worrying thoughts. You are letting something that is a blank page stop  you from writing your greatest story. This clean slate we like to call the future, could be filled with abundance and blessings, if instead of fearing it , you welcome it with joy and hope.

The wrong choice

I personally struggle with this one a lot, so I get it. Although, We all are bound to make mistakes and wrong choices, its inevitable. I think its completely normal to feel the need to analyze and overthink when making big choices. However, we shouldn’t fear making the wrong one. I mean, how do we know which one is the right one? Sure, each one will bring something different tot he table. But whether its being unsure on what college to attend, moving to a new city or switching your career. I think instead of staying in the same place with the “Yes, No, Maybe so” pattern, we should make our choice and make the best of it.  Here are some questions to ask yourself that might help.
  • Looking back, are you going to wonder what if you ____?
  • Which one will help you grow?
  • Picture yourself, where/what will make you happier?
  • Are you praying/meditating about it?
  • Pros and Cons anyone?

I hope this brought a little encouragement to your Sunday night. Thanks for stopping by and reading guys.
